Hey Sal.... Whats the status on MWLL?? A guy I work with is interested in it but wasnt sure if it was in closed beta or open.... He said he was looking at their site for a dload and couldnt find one. Are you still tied in with that??

It's open. You just need Crysis or Crysis Wars to play it, most of the community has moved to the wars version since it was released a few weeks ago.

They just released the biggest update so far, and the game is really starting to come together now. There is (correctly working) native joystick support with a built in configuration tool and even an auto=-updater for the game. They also finally released the new Terrain Control game mode, which has capture points and tickets like Battlefield. My Palisades map is an official map now, but it doesn't support the new game mode.. yet.

For the last few weeks I have been working on converting my city map to the new gametype and I just released a test version of it a couple of days ago. It's come a long way since any of you have seen it last... but it is still a long way from complete.

I left the MWLL team in July because I could never release this map as a member of the team with the third party models on it. They wanted to be able to put it out, but they can't take the risk of using unauthorized assets... I am willing to take the risk as an individual. I believe I am within my usage rights on purchased assets, even though the site that sells the models has issues with the security of the building meshes distributed in crysis. I had invested too much time and effort in the work already to just abandon it, so I am back to make user created content... although my previously released maps were left with the dev team to use or not use as they saw fit.

I am slowly working on replacing all the old buildings with better, properly textured models.. as well as ongoing optimization and refinement of the terrain textures.

here's a few shots of the map as it is now. I should have a public release within the week.
