Ok, I really want to play an Archmage or Warrior priest guys, but do not want to be forced into a "healing role" later on like happens in WoW. Ya a priest is expected to heal, but the fact that their are "other DPS roles" avaliable to healing type classes I was hoping those roles are accepted in War?

I basically want to be a mage type magic damage dealer caster. But i see ther is no pure magic class in WarHammer.

So will I get a bunch of "ur a healer class u have to heal crap" or are people mostly ok with DPS mages/casters & healer casters?

Also, are there any other characters that u can have a pet with besides the White lion & Squig herder??
I am saddened that you cannot even have "a multitude" of diffferent pets amongst these two characters like the Hunter & Warlock can in WoW?

Bright wizard has more damage output than a warrior priest, but less survivability. Warrior priest has no ranged attacks at all. If you want to heal and do ranged damage you should look at rune priest and archmage. If you want a ranged caster without being a healer then look at bright wizard. Non-caster ranged damage would be engineer and shadow warrior.

If you make any of the healing classes and play in a group as a DPS, people are going to get on your case. There is a little bit of room to work outside your intended role with some of the classes, but not much. The roles are pretty clearly defined.

Yeah, each race has 1 healer, 1 tank and 2 DPS (ranged and melee). Kinda sucks, but higher into the game, if you were a healer, you would want to be a healer and not damage, since you are the first target. Nothing like running into a Chosen that can ignore your Armor 100% and you hitting them for little or no damage at all. That is why all you see are Chosen running around, they can get away without a healer for a while and put out above average damage.

I never pay attention to any OP posts in any game. Even when I have the supposed OP, I don't see it. Just someone that was owned whining about it.

ok ima go with the Bright Wizard.........It will be a month or so till I can actually play.........So im absorbing all the info I can get thru Wiki, Curse & other sights on the game for now
