Many speculate that the stall to gain a player base was due to the massive change from fantasy to sci-fi. Personally, I enjoyed the game in the way the action was and the missions.

It is a fun game if you want to take a break from whatever you are playing. For solo play, I would suggest a Exobiologist with Injector guns. All classes are available here. There isn't a deep learning curve like most games.
